What is CareReady?
CareReady is an organizational tool that helps caregivers gather important care information and create useful documents for emergency and day-to-day caregiving. It is not a medical record system.
What kind of information can I organize in CareReady?
You can organize information such as medications, health conditions, doctors and specialists, pharmacies, insurance, medical devices, emergency contacts, communication needs, and daily support information. These are examples, not an exhaustive list.
Where is my care information stored?
CareReady is designed to keep your care information on the device and in the browser you are using. CareReady does not place the care record in an online medical-record database. Purchase and entitlement information is handled separately for payment verification and recovery.
Does CareReady send my medical or care information to Stripe when I pay?
No. CareReady does not send care answers, names, medical details, or PDF contents to Stripe. A checkout may include payment-related information such as the product, amount, a purchaser email if you provide one, and an opaque reference used to match the payment to the correct CareReady profile.
What information does CareReady keep after I purchase?
CareReady keeps separate purchase and entitlement proof needed to verify an unlock. This can include purchase status, product, amount, currency, date, payment-provider references, and a purchaser email when one is provided. It does not store the care record or PDF contents online.
Does CareReady sell my information?
The current CareReady product materials do not state a separate data-selling policy. What the product does make clear is that care information is kept on the device and is not placed in an online medical-record database. This FAQ does not make a broader legal or business-policy claim beyond that verified product behavior.
What happens if I close my browser before I finish?
Your progress may remain in the browser on the same device, as long as that browser information is still available. CareReady does not provide automatic cloud saving for the care record. To continue with a separate copy or protect against lost browser data, use Save My Progress to download a private CareReady file.
How does Save My Progress work?
Save My Progress downloads a private encrypted copy of your CareReady progress. Keep the file and its password somewhere you trust and can find later. You can open the file in CareReady with that password to resume. The browser chooses the download location, and you remain responsible for keeping the copy available.
What is a CareReady .carepacket file?
A .carepacket file is a saved CareReady progress and record file used to resume work later. It is a CareReady file format, not a standard medical file format. The current saved-progress file is encrypted with the password you choose.
What happens if I lose my saved CareReady file?
Email-based purchase recovery can verify an eligible purchase and help restore document access for a matching profile that is still available on the device. It cannot recreate care information or PDF contents when the saved CareReady file and local record are gone.
Can someone else access my CareReady record?
Access may depend on who can use your device or browser, open your saved CareReady file, or view downloaded or printed documents. Use normal device and file security practices, protect your password, and share care information only with people who are authorized to help.
Is CareReady HIPAA compliant?
CareReady does not currently make a HIPAA-compliance claim. It is designed as a caregiver organization tool, not as a healthcare provider, insurer, or medical-record system. This page is not legal advice.
Does CareReady replace my doctor, pharmacy, patient portal, or official medical record?

Is there a monthly subscription?
No. CareReady is currently a one-time $19.99 purchase for one person.
Does CareReady provide medical advice?
